A 15-year-old high school freshman was killed Tuesday morning when she was .
The incident happened in , a suburb southwest of Lexington, around 6:45 a.m.
The victim was later identified as .
“The Clark County Public Schools family is heartbroken today,” said superintendent Dustin Howard, adding that grief counselors and other mental health personnel would be available for students and staff throughout the district.
The Clark County coroner said the girl was crossing an intersection when she was hit by the bus.

It’s unclear if any charges will be filed. The Clark County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.
